Welcome to "2 Upsides 2 Downs" page.

We are thrilled to have you join us in celebrating individuals with Down syndrome at this very special event. Your support and fundraising efforts provide therapeutic programs and services for individuals with Down syndrome and their families in our community. Down Syndrome Innovations serves over 1,900 families, 22 hospitals, 45 school districts and dozens of early childhood and adult service provider organizations in Kansas and Missouri. "2 Upsides 2 Downs" would love to have you walk with us. We appreciate all the support we can get! Together make a difference!

A Special Message From "2 Upsides 2 Downs"

I am a proud mother of Two lovely children, KeTara(21) who has Mosaicism Downs & Avan(13) who has Trisomy 21. These two has been such a blessing in my life, I will never have to look for love for they give the best love, hugs, affection a mother can ask for, Who sees no fault in anyone, although life has its challenges. With KeTara fighting for her life having COVID last year with a heart murmur, being obese and having sleep apnea. She still manages her second year in college and working to move out on her own. Avan having constant challenges with having eye surgery going blind in his right eye and still having to focus on being a happy 8th grader. After losing my grandmother who was a strong support person for us through grieving Avan has became nonverbal. Through all that they continue to smile & laugh. They dare to be different and not ashamed of who they are and I'm super proud to have them as My Children...God's Special Children.
