Welcome, family and friends!  It’s time once again to Step Up for Down Syndrome!  We continue to be grateful for the services provided by Down Syndrome Innovations (formerly the DSG!).  Update on Penelope: She is now officially a teenager, in 8th grade, and is thriving in school!  She got great grades last year and received an academic achievement award!  She spends all but one class (math) in regular education classes with her peers!  She is becoming more responsible and independent everyday (with not a small amount of teen eye rolls and sighs mixed in!). She is involved in dance classes, church youth group, swim team, and school choir.  She had a rough time last school year with multiple pneumonias due to her lung disease, so we are working with her doctors to see if we can figure out anything else to help her health.  She amazes us everyday and we are so grateful for your support of our team and family!
