Monday, September 26, 2022, 6:00. Don’t delay, register today to receive your commemorative Step Up walk t-shirt.

Welcome to "Sam’s Sidekicks" page.

We are thrilled to have you join us in celebrating individuals with Down syndrome at this very special event. Your support and fundraising efforts provide therapeutic programs and services for individuals with Down syndrome and their families in our community. Down Syndrome Innovations serves over 1,900 families, 22 hospitals, 45 school districts and dozens of early childhood and adult service provider organizations in Kansas and Missouri. "Sam’s Sidekicks" would love to have you walk with us. We appreciate all the support we can get! Together make a difference!

A Special Message From "Sam’s Sidekicks"

This is our 27th Buddy Walk/Step Up Walk for Down Syndrome! Sam was still in the womb at our first walk in 1996. It was a tiny walk in numbers compared to now. It has come a long way and so has Sam. The little tike that was in the NICU for 3 weeks and hospitalized 5 times before he was 18 months old, now works 2 jobs, takes CLEAR classes at JCCC and is loving his life.
