Welcome to "Stella’s Peeps" page.

We are thrilled to have you join us in celebrating individuals with Down syndrome at this very special event. Your support and fundraising efforts provide therapeutic programs and services for individuals with Down syndrome and their families in our community. Down Syndrome Innovations serves over 1,900 families, 22 hospitals, 45 school districts and dozens of early childhood and adult service provider organizations in Kansas and Missouri. "Stella’s Peeps" would love to have you walk with us. We appreciate all the support we can get! Together make a difference!

First of all I want to give a huge THANK YOU to our donors and friends who signed up to join us at the walk this coming weekend! You have been such a blessing to us and all the people with Down syndrome and their families. We are so excited to see you and celebrate. The dates for the team captain to pick up team t shirts is this Thursday and Friday over at Arrowhead. I will be driving over to get them. Since Thursday and Friday there is no school due to Parent Teacher conferences it won’t work to drop them off at school. My plan is to either bring them to the walk and have them at our tent so you can pick them up or I can drop it off at your house. Let me know what works for you. It looks like the weather will be nice for the walk , anywhere from 60-79 degrees! Dress in some layers. 🌞🌤🕶

Important Walk info: 🐕‍🦺Pets & Dogs: We all love our furry four legged friends, but PLEASE KEEP THEM AT HOME. 🛻🚗Parking:will be available in lots A, B & D, located next to C. 👚🎽👕Pick up your Team T-shirts: I will have everyones shirts at the the Stella’s Peeps team tent. Feel free to bring a lawn chair and park it. We will have a cooler full of bottled water and the tent will give some needed shade. ☀️ Tomorrow’s going to be sunny and have some wind. 🍗🍗Food: KFC will be providing lunch this year from 11:00-1:00pm . Delicious fried chicken, potato salad and cole slaw. We will also have hot dogs, fruit, coffee, soda and bottled water. 📸Team Photo and line up: The lineup for the start of the ceremonial walk begins at 1:00pm. ****Please meet at the Stella’s Peeps tent at 12:45 so we can take a team photo. Then we can walk over and get our team together in line. 🧒 👧 Lost Child: If you lose a child during the event, please go immediately to the stage, located near the start of the walk. Let them know the details (child's name, age). Announcements will be made from the stage. 🚑Medical Attention: If you require medical attention during the event, please visit the first aid area, located near the registration tent. 📷Photos & Social Media: Team captains are responsible for capturing their own images.
