HELLO!   Walk is Oct 4, at Arrowhead

This organization has helped us TREMENDUSLY throughout Vi’s life and they will continue to do so into adulthood.

As of now Violet is enjoying Special Olympics Young Athletes.  We go weekly and learn the skills needed to play sports: kicking, throwing, catching, running, turn taking, etc. AND she loves it! This is a year round program hosted by the DSI and Vi will continue to attend until age 7.   This January, Violet will also join a Social group for kids age 6-8.  This group focuses on appropriate social interactions and encourages independence.

DSI also provides many resources for Ryan and I.  From workshops on parenting a child with Down Syndrome to IEP reviews and guidance.

Please consider joining our team to  help with funding for such services.

The Ceremonial 1 mile walk has been moved to the beginning of the event at 10:30 and the fun continues til 2:00pm, come anytime. We’ll be there with a tent up ready to celebrate Violet!
